Humans have direct and indirect effects on marine life in the ocean. The reefs in the ocean are made up
of many tiny particles, and they are home to thousands of organisms living in the ocean, from lobster and shell fish to small
clown fish to even tiny mircroscopic organisms.
Human beings directly effact the oceans and reefs in a few ways. One being throwing trash in the water. Fish get caught
in the trash or they eat the trash and end up dying. People out boating cause problems to the reefs. People will go out boating
unaware of exactly where reefs are located and run into them. As soon as a reef is hit by a boat, that part of the reefs dies,
killing off many organisms, and even leaving many fish and organisms homeless. Also people who may go snorkling or diving
near or on reefs cause damage. As soon as anything touches the reef if dies. Many people go snorkling and diving and think
its okay to touch the reef and tear pieces of the reef off .
People indirectly effect the ocean and its reefs by humans being so thoughtless. The recent holes in the ozone layer
are having a huge effect on ocean life. The radiation that comes through the holes and kills plankton, fish larvae and eggs
as well. This will cause a bigger problem in the future.
Other sorts of problems with pollution are cause by commercial fishermen and frieght liners. Theses types of big
boats empty their wastes into the ocean infecting the fish. Also oil from these ships and boats leak into the ocean and
effect the oceans and reefs.
All these things are runing the reefs and the oceans. If something isn't done soon, the worlds oceans and reefs are going
to be lifeless.
Pollution is so uncool!!!

Dangerous materials are a big problem in the oceans and on the beaches. Needles have been found on beaches as weel as
amny other types of medical supplies. A big problem seems to be balloons. In one case a baby sperm whale died, an autopsy
was done and it showed that there was a bolloon with a ribbon still attached blocking his digestive tract. This
is only one example. Any sort of pollution or plastic, rope, wood, and many other thigns are extreamly harmfull to not only
the animals in the ocean but also the ocean its self. The ocean is home to millions of plants, animals and organisms, don't
be the one to help make them homeless.
Since there is such huge problem with pollution there needs to be some sort of plan to help eliminate some of this problem.
Mabye an incentive should be made, for people to keep there trash they produce on the beach or on a boat and turn it in for
money. Maybe a certain boat that goes around cleaning out the ocean once a week off of each inlet.Even if people just picked
up trash in the ocean, on the beach, or on reefs when they saw it, it would make a big difference. I dont't know
exactly what would be effective and would work, but something must be done.
